Nephrogenic Systemic Fribrosis MRI, a Life-Threatening Disease

Posted under Law by admin

NSF (Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis MRI) is a life-threatening condition because of one vital reason – the functions of the kidneys are important for the proper functioning of the heart and the circulatory system. In other words, a massive damage on the kidneys like the one seen in NSF can lead to deadly and life-threatening heart conditions. Why? The rennin-angiotensin system necessary for the proper functioning of the heart is related with the kidneys. Any damage to this system will put in danger the life of victims. This is why doctors also order blood works to determine the health of the kidneys if a patient complains of heart problem.

Proven scientifically-based studies have proven that there is a link between MRI’s and Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis. In an unspecified number of cases in the past decades since the advent of magnetic resonance imaging, it was discovered that the stain gadolinium is to blame for the rise in the number of NSF cases. Gadolinium is a stain used prior to an MRI scan, and the main purpose of the stain is to help doctors differentiate the organs. Despite the fact that the stain can exactly pin point which organ is enlarged or in danger of necrosis, the stain can lead to an unsavory cocktail of symptoms common in NFS. Excess pigmentation, skin inflammation, and painful extremities are just three of the many symptoms experienced by people suffering from NFS. If you are experiencing any of the mentioned symptoms after your MRI test, we insist the number on the links provided and let’s talk about your condition.
